Scholarship for students with limited financial resources

Careful preparation for the Gymnasium entrance exam should not depend on financial means. We therefore offer one scholarship per class – ranging from a reduced course fee to full participation free of charge.

We support motivated students with strong academic performance who aim to attend the Gymnasium out of their own initiative, but whose families have limited financial means. In this way, we aim to help ensure that access to the Gymnasium entrance exam depends less on financial circumstances.

Requirements:

• A minimum grade average of 5.0 in the relevant exam subjects (weighting according to the prior grades of the Gymnasium entrance exam: German, foreign languages (average of French and English), and Nature, People, Society (average of “Nature and Technology” and “Spaces, Times, Societies”) each 20%, Mathematics 40%; proof required by submitting a copy of the latest report card)
• High level of motivation and willingness to attend the course regularly
• Reliable behaviour and respectful conduct
• A recommendation from a teacher (written or by phone) who teaches the student on a regular basis
• Proof of limited financial resources

How the application process works:

1. Submit your application

Complete the application form and send it together with the required documents by email to info@lernkraftwerk.ch. We will then review whether you meet the requirements.

2. Assessment of current level

In the next step, we assess your current level. You will write an essay and complete a mathematics test.

3. Introductory meeting

Finally, we will invite you to a personal meeting. We will go through your application together and clarify any open questions. Afterwards, your application will be reviewed and assessed internally.
