The foundation course takes place before the complete exam preparation course for the Gymnasium in the Canton of Schwyz and is specifically designed to prepare students for its requirements. This course starts after the spring holiday and consists of 8 course days. The group size is 4 to 8 students.
It is often the case that students at the beginning of the exam preparation do not yet have all the necessary basic knowledge to keep up with the pace and level of the lessons. This is exactly what this course attempts to remedy.
The goal is to consolidate key topics and create a solid foundation on which the subsequent course can build. This makes it easier for students to follow the lessons and actively participate.
The foundation course also offers an initial, manageable experience of the preparation for the entrance exam for the Gymnasium in the Canton of Schwyz. Students can find out whether this path is right for them before committing to a longer course.

Course Dates
Each course day consists of 4 lessons. We offer one course on Saturday morning and one on Saturday afternoon. In addition, we offer a course on Wednesday afternoon. The courses take place at BBZ Pfäffikon, Schützenstrasse. On one course day, 3 lessons of mathematics and 1 lesson of English are taught. On the next course day, 3 lessons of German and 1 lesson of French. This alternating pattern continues throughout the entire course.

Course Content
Before the course begins, we assess each student’s current level. This assessment forms the basis for targeted support throughout the course. At the start of the course, students receive a course folder with the teaching materials. In addition, they have access to our course platform with further learning videos and materials. Each week, they complete a learning assessment on the platform, which we correct, and they receive individual feedback before the next course. The lessons are also available as a video. This allows students to catch up on missed lessons or to repeat individual topics if needed. If questions or concerns arise, we are also available via our chat outside of course hours.
The foundation course covers the key fundamentals that are essential for the subsequent exam preparation course. The following topics are covered during the course. As we are continuously developing the course, short-term adjustments may be made.
